Privacy

This policy explains how Sign High Pty Ltd handles information for Daisuke Bear Work & Life Assistant (BMA).

Local-first does not mean nothing leaves your Mac. Ordinary workspace data is kept locally where practical. Content is sent online when you deliberately request an AI action or use account, billing, activation or support services.

Who we are

Sign High Pty Ltd (ABN 88 664 867 261) operates the Daisuke Bear website and products. Privacy and support enquiries can be sent to support@daisukebear.com.au.

Information handled locally

The Mac app may read information from Apple Messages, Mail, Calendar and Contacts that you connect, plus tasks, notes, recordings and local transcripts you create. This information is stored in the app’s local database where practical. Apple permissions are optional and can be changed in macOS Settings. The app does not send a message, email or calendar action merely because it was suggested; you must approve the action.

AI-assisted requests

When you request an AI-assisted action, the content needed for that request is sent using TLS to the Daisuke Bear service and then to our configured AI provider, currently OpenAI. Requests are made with provider storage disabled. Daisuke Bear temporarily encrypts the generated output so your app can retrieve it and deletes that output after retrieval or within approximately 15 minutes. The provider may separately process or retain limited data as described in its applicable service and abuse-monitoring policies.

Accounts, activation and billing

Hosted services process identifiers needed for activation, device access, subscription status, DBT Credit balances and ledgers, security auditing and support. Stripe processes payments and card details under Stripe’s privacy terms; Daisuke Bear does not store full card details. Signed Stripe webhook event records are retained without raw payment payloads for security, accounting and idempotency purposes. Essential financial, security and entitlement records may be retained where reasonably required by law, fraud prevention, dispute handling and service integrity.

Private affiliate programme

For invited affiliates, we process the name, email address, encrypted mobile number, consent and accepted-terms records, referral code and attribution, ABN or Statement by a Supplier status, Stripe connected-account identifier, capability status, commission ledger, payout status and audit records needed to administer the programme. Stripe collects identity and bank details through Stripe-hosted onboarding; Daisuke Bear does not store the affiliate’s bank account number. Referral, financial, fraud-prevention and audit records may be retained after participation ends where reasonably required. Affiliates may request access or correction through support; deletion may be limited by accounting, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention and legal obligations.

Optional iPhone access

Optional remote access uses the separately supplied Tailscale service and requires your Mac to remain powered on and connected. Tailscale has its own privacy terms. Daisuke Bear does not currently provide a native VPN or an iPhone companion app.

Disclosure and overseas processing

Information may be disclosed to service providers that help us operate the product, including hosting, Stripe, OpenAI and support providers. Those services may process information outside Australia. We do not sell the content of your messages, emails, calendars, notes or recordings.

Your choices and requests

You can disconnect sources, revoke macOS permissions and export local data from the app. Export archives contain highly private information and should be stored securely. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible hosted account information by contacting support. Deleting hosted data does not automatically erase the local database on your Mac, and legal or security records may need to be retained.

Security and complaints

We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administrative access and product-scoped entitlements. No system is completely secure. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first so we can investigate. You may also have rights to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product or providers change. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
